Bionet is the North East of England's leading network for research scientists, and is the major platform for sharing ideas and developments in the health, healthcare and life sciences sector.
Bionet has a growing membership of over 1000 researchers, which includes members from the region's universities, industry, research institutions and the NHS.

Membership to Bionet offers:

• Opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing.
• Online access to biomedical science research expertise, relevant sources of information, local companies and development agencies and information on potential funding sources.

Together with Cels, Bionet is driving forward key areas of the region's bio-economy.

Bionet's Working Groups address key subject areas and encourage inter-disciplinary working, stimulating interaction across the membership base. Each working group operates independently and manages its own program of events.

Bionet also supports the development of the next generation of scientists through its Industrial Studentship scheme. Postgraduate students receive funds for three years to study with one of the region's universities and to put their ideas into practice with an industrial partner.
