Programme

10.00 am-5.00 pm All Kinds of Cells
This session will introduce the concept of cells using hands-on activities.

10.00 am-5.00 pm Stem Cells: You Decide
You decide involves a range of activities that will build on the knowledge gained in All Kinds of Cells, and introduce new ethical and scientific questions to explore.

11.00 am, 1.00 pm & 3.00 pm Genes in a Bottle
Genes in a Bottle is a workshop lasting an hour and a half during which you will learn what DNA is, what it is for, and what it looks like. The session includes extracting DNA from your own cheek cells and bottling the results to take home with you.

10.00 am-5.00 pm 'A Day in the Life' Exhibition
Discover what life is really like in a lab in this photographic exhibition created by scientists taking photographs which represent their typical day, be that in the lab, the field, or in the classroom.
